Eid and shaadi season are where most Pakistani clothing budgets go to die. The pressure is real — everybody is photographed, everything is seen once — and the prices know it. Spending less does not mean looking like you spent less; it mostly means deciding earlier and buying differently.
The calendar is most of the price
Formal and festive clothing is priced by demand, and demand is entirely predictable. The weeks right before Eid and through peak wedding months are the worst possible time to buy, and the weeks right after are the best.
If you can buy a month out, or buy for next season immediately after this one, the same item costs meaningfully less. Preloved formalwear follows the same curve, because everyone lists what they wore once shortly after the season ends.
Wedding clothes are worn once — buy them that way

A good dupatta, clean shoes and a pressed outfit read as expensive. The brand of the kurta underneath does not.
