Introduction

Welcome to Thrift Store ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our online marketplace for buying and selling secondhand items in Pakistan. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately. We reserve the right to modify, change, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Eligibility and Account Registration

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use this Platform. If you are under 18 years of age, you may only use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Account Types

• Buyer Account: Allows you to browse, search, and purchase secondhand items
• Seller Account: Allows you to list and sell your secondhand items on the Platform

Account Responsibilities

When you register for an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.

Product Listings

As a seller on Thrift Store, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful product descriptions
• Upload clear, authentic photos of the actual item being sold
• Accurately describe the condition (brand new, like new, gently used, etc.)
• Set fair and honest pricing
• Ensure items are genuine and not counterfeit
• Only list items that you legally own and have the right to sell
• Maintain adequate stock quantities

Order Fulfillment

Sellers must:

• Confirm orders within 24 hours of receiving them
• Package items securely to prevent damage during shipping
• Ship confirmed orders within 2-3 business days
• Provide accurate tracking information to buyers
• Respond to buyer inquiries within 48 hours
• Honor the return and exchange policy

Prohibited Items

Sellers are strictly prohibited from listing:

• Counterfeit, replica, or fake branded items
• Stolen goods or items obtained illegally
• Weapons, explosives, or dangerous materials
• Illegal drugs or controlled substances
• Adult content or explicit materials
• Live animals (except through verified pet sellers)
• Items that violate intellectual property rights
• Hazardous materials or chemicals

Buyer Responsibilities

As a buyer on Thrift Store, you agree to:

• Provide accurate delivery information
• Be available to receive orders at the specified address
• Complete payment as per the selected payment method
• Inspect items upon delivery before accepting them
• Contact the seller or customer support for any issues
• Leave honest and fair reviews after purchase
• Not abuse the return or refund policy

Orders and Payments

Order Acceptance

Placing an order on the Platform constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Product unavailability or insufficient stock
• Pricing errors or inaccuracies
• Suspected fraudulent activity
• Inability to verify customer information
• Delivery address outside serviceable areas

Payment Methods

We currently accept the following payment methods:

• Cash on Delivery (COD): Pay in cash when you receive your order
• Future Payment Options: Credit/debit cards, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, bank transfers

Pricing

All prices are listed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. While we strive to ensure accurate pricing, errors may occur. If we discover a pricing error after you've placed an order, we will notify you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

Platform Usage Rules

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any Pakistani laws or regulations
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Spam or send unsolicited commercial messages
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or breach Platform security
• Use automated bots or scrapers without permission
• Engage in price manipulation or bid rigging
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings

Buyer-Seller Disputes

In case of any dispute between buyers and sellers, we encourage both parties to communicate directly to resolve the issue. If resolution cannot be reached, you may contact our customer support team for mediation.

Platform Mediation

Thrift Store may, at its discretion, mediate disputes between buyers and sellers. However, we are not obligated to resolve disputes and are not responsible for the outcome. Our role is limited to facilitating communication and providing a platform for commerce.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property on this Platform, including but not limited to logos, trademarks, designs, graphics, text, images, software, and source code, are owned by Thrift Store or our licensors and are protected under Pakistani copyright laws and international conventions.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Platform without our express written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Thrift Store is a marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers. We do not manufacture, store, or directly sell the products listed on the Platform. Therefore:

• We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of listed items
• We do not guarantee the completion of transactions between buyers and sellers
• We are not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from products purchased
• Sellers are solely responsible for their product listings and descriptions
• Buyers purchase items at their own risk and discretion

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thrift Store shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Thrift Store, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Your use or misuse of the Platform
• Products you list or sell as a seller

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any of the following reasons:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Multiple buyer or seller complaints
• Listing prohibited items
• Abusive or harassing behavior
• Prolonged account inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. We are not liable for any losses or damages resulting from account termination.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
